Discussion of UNICEF water and environmental sanitation projects .
A meeting in Sana’a today, which included Minister of Water and Environment Eng. Abdul Rqib Al-Sharmani and Secretary General of SCMCHA, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, discussed UNICEF’s water and environmental sanitation projects.
The meeting, in the presence of Deputy Minister of Water and Environment Hanin Al-Dreib, Head of the International Cooperation department Mana’a al Asel , and UNICEF Representative Philip Domel, discussed a package of projects related to water and environmental sanitation interventions.
The meeting stressed the importance of developing and expanding services, resume work on suspended projects as well as work in accordance with the plan submitted by the Ministry of Water and Environment.
The Secretary-General of SCMCHA indicated the importance of forming a joint technical committee to discuss all outstanding projects and agree with the need plan and develop solutions and treatments for all problems to move forward with the implementation of the projects.
The meeting was attended by The Council’s Deputy Head of International Cooperation Ali Al-Kahlani, Director of the UN organizations department of SCMCHA Youssef Al-Faroui and UNICEF Information Officer Kamal al-Wazir.
