Discussion of humanitarian situation and the interventions of the OCHA in Yemen.

The Head of International Cooperation Department at SCMCHA Mana’a Al-Asal, discussed with Deputy Director of OCHA the humanitarian situation and the interventions of OCHA in Yemen.

At the meeting, which was attended by project manager Emad Hajar, Al-Asal stressed the importance of OCHA role in providing humanitarian support to alleviate the suffering of citizens.

He pointed out the importance of increasing the efforts of the organizations and to provide humanitarian interventions, especially in light of the high numbers of IDPs and the increased need due to the continuation of the aggression and the blockade that also increases the suffering of Yemenis by detaining oil derivatives ships.

Mana’a stressed the keenness to overcome the difficulties facing the work of OCHA to alleviate the suffering of citizens and support projects that come into contact with their needs in light of the scarcity of possibilities as a result of the aggression and siege that Yemen is subjected to.

He indicated the importance of strengthening the aspects of partnership between SCMCHA and OCHA to serve humanitarian work in Yemen, as well as to work in accordance with the need plan and priorities set by the concerned parties.
