Discussing joint cooperation in the field of supporting industrial facilities for UNIDO.

The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, discussed today with the project coordinator of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization UNIDO, Paul Gatalian, joint cooperation in the field of supporting industrial facilities.

The two sides discussed, via video technology, with the participation of the administrative official of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in Yemen, Abdulaziz Al-Khulani, the organization’s expert in Yemen and Akemi Ishikawa, on aspects related to supporting industrial facilities and small projects, financing small projects and renewable energy.

Tawoos stressed SCMCHA’s keenness to find humanitarian projects of a developmental nature that contribute to meeting the needs of citizens and alleviating their suffering.

In turn, Jatalian appreciated the role of SCMCHA in coordinating efforts and facilitating the work of the organization,confirming that environmental and social sustainability is essential to achieving UNIDO’s goal of comprehensive and sustainable industrial development.

The Secretary-General of SCMCHA had discussed with the organization’s administrative official in Yemen, Abdulaziz Al-Khulani, the service and development projects that the organization is working to implement.

Tawoos affirmed SCMCHA’s readiness to overcome all difficulties and facilitate the organization’s tasks to implement projects and activities in the field.

Al-Khawlani appreciated the role of SCMCHA in facilitating the work of the organization, stressing that the projects to be implemented have a positive impact on the targeted community segment and enhance social stability by improving the access of internally IDP and their host communities to income-generating activities.
