Tawoos and Salah briefed on the progress of work at Al Thawra Hospital in Ibb.

A meeting at the Al-Thawra Hospital Authority in Ibb,in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, and the Governor of Ibb Abdul Wahed Salah, discussed today the workflow of the authority and the hospital’s necessary needs.

The meeting included Member of Parliament, Dr. Ali Al-Zanm, the Governorate’s Undersecretary for Health Affairs and Organizations, Dr. Ashraf Al-Mutawakil, and the representative of UNOPS, Khaldoun Saleh, they heard from the head of the Hospital Authority, Dr. Abdul Ghani Ghabsheh, about the specializations of the recently opened new departments, the modern equipment provided to the authority, and the hospital’s needs of medicines and medical supplies.

At the meeting, the head of the commission called on UNOPS to include the project of establishing an integrated heart center in the hospital as part of its tasks for the second phase of the commission.
He appreciated the efforts of the SCMCHA and UNOPS in restoring, furnishing and equipping the hospital’s facilities.

The meeting was attended by the organization’s expert, Fayyad Saleh, and the director of SCMCHA branch in the governorate, Dr. Faisal Al-Khulani

In turn, the Governor of Ibb and the Secretary General of SCMCHA reviewed the medical services in the clinics and emergency departments and the rest of the hospital facilities.

They were also briefed on the maintenance and rehabilitation works of a number of facilities in the hospital as well as the works implemented and those that are under implementation that was funded by the support of UNOPS.

Salah and Tawoos appreciated the efforts of the hospital ’s leadership and the medical, technical and administrative staff in improving medical services for citizens and alleviating their suffering of ongoing aggression and siege.
