Al-Hamli calls for the establishment of a permanent humanitarian corridor to Gaza.
Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Managment and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, warned of deteriorating humanitarian crisis in Gaza in light of the increasing number of injured and martyrs due to the Zionist occupation’s aerial bombardment, the lack of basic needs, a medical supplies.
Al-Hamli ,during the meeting with representative of WFP in Yemen, Arturo Pesqan, called on the international community and UN to fulfill their responsibilities in preventing the humanitarian catastrophe from sliding into dangerous stages that threaten the lives of hundreds of thousands of citizens in the Gaza Strip.
He confirmed that the genocide of the people of Palestine by the Zionist enemy and its allies reveals the falsity of the humanitarian slogans that America and the West chant.
Al-Hamli called on the international community and UN to establish an immediate humanitarian corridor to ensure the unhindered arrival of humanitarian and relief aid and medical supplies, as well as individuals working in this field, and the evacuation of the sick and wounded.
For his part, the representative of WFP expressed the organization’s strong condemnation of the attack on the Baptist Hospital in Gaza.
