Discussion the interventions and projects of the HandiCap Organization in Yemen.

The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, discussed today with the representative of the HandiCap Organization in Yemen, Antoine Jounieh, the partnership between the SCMCHA and the organization.

The meeting, in the presence of the head of the International Cooperation Department, Ali Al-Kahlani, touched on the interventions and activities of Handi Cap organization, which deals with people with special needs, and ways to intensify them during the coming period.

Al-Hamli stressed the importance of redoubling efforts and expand the organization’s interventions to meet the needs according to the list of priorities, as well as the need for its intervention to support civilians wounded by mines and bombs as result of aggression where most of whom are children.

He indicated to the importance of involving civil society organizations in humanitarian interventions through the implementation of activities.

For his part, Jounieh indicated that the organization is working to redouble efforts to expand its interventions during the coming period in a way that contributes to meeting the needs of the disabled.

The meeting was attended by the director of international organizations department of SCMCHA, Turki Jamil, and the head of Monitoring and evaluation department , Muhammad Ali.
