Sana’a: Discussing the humanitarian conditions of the OCHA office due to the aggression and siege.

 The chairman of the National Authority for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Response, Abdul Mohsen Abdullah Al-Tawoos, discussed during his meeting today with the Director of the UN Office “OCHA” Sebastian Treves, the progress of humanitarian projects in Yemen.

 The meeting looked over a number of field issues related to the delay of emergency interventions and the worsening of the humanitarian situation due to the continued aggression and siege. He stressed the importance of rapid intervention and emergency as well as providing relief, shelter and medical requirements for all those who will be effected , if disaster happens.

 Tawoos pointed out that most of the intervention comes late, which worsens the situation. Abdulmohsen pointed out that the NAMCHA  is making all efforts to facilitate the work of humanitarian organizations and overcome the difficulties that may face relief and development projects.

 The Director of the United Nations Office  Trevis also praised the efforts of the Commission in the humanitarian work, stressing their eager to strengthen cooperation between the Commission and the “OCHA” and provide all aspects of humanitarian support. The was attended by Deputy Director of Humanitarian cooperation sector, Mana al Asal .
