Discussion of the performance of the Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs

A meeting chaired by the Secretary General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation Abdul Mohsen Tawoos was held in Sana’a today in the presence of heads of department , general and secretariat staff.

The meeting was devoted to discussing and evaluating the performance of the Secretariat during the year 2020 and its activity as the coordinating body overseeing humanitarian work and all those working in this field.

The meeting also discussed aspects of the Secretariat’s 2021 plan and the requirements for its implementation.

Tawoos confirmed the importance of the role played by the Council in the framework of monitoring and coordinating the course of humanitarian work , which calls for assuming responsibility of all the staff of the Secretariat to make more efforts to promote humanitarian work and to direct assistance and projects in a way that meets the actual need and achieves the basic goal of alleviating the suffering caused by the aggression and the blockade.

He indicated to the importance of raising performance and moving to development projects that will improve the economic level and reach recovery.

He aslo confirmed the important of raising the final reports and develop the action plan for next year in accordance with working mechanisms to ensure the quality of performance and improve the level of work to achieve the desired goals.
