Targeting Afar is violation of international humanitarian law war and considers crimes.

 

The Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs condemned the targeting of Afar port in Ak Sawadia area of Al Bayda governorste by Saudi led Coalition which is the current main port for the flow of food and medicine to millions of residents in a number of provinces, especially after the closure and siege of the port of Hodeida.

In a statement issued today, the Council considered this crime to be in addition to the series of crimes committed against the Yemeni people and is a flagrant violation of the rules of international and humanitarian law.

The Council noted that this crime indicates that Aggression’s country continue to commit war crimes against civilians in the shameful silence of the United Nations and its various bodies.

The Supreme Council called on the international community to take responsibilities in stopping the aggression, lifting the blockade, condemning the crimes of states of aggression against innocent civilians, forming impartial international committees to investigate all crimes committed by the coalition as well as work to protect civilians in accordance with international and humanitarian law.
