Secretary-General of the Humanitarian Affairs Council meets with Deputy Minister of Human Rights.

The Secretary General of the Management  and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, AbdulMohsen Tawoos, met this morning with Deputy Minister of Human Rights, Ali Al-Dilmi.

At the meeting,  which was attended by the under-Secretary of the Ministry of Human Rights, Ali Tayseer and the human rights adviser, Hamid Rafaq, the difficulties and challenges facing humanitarian action and violations against Yemeni human beings under siege and ongoing aggression were discussed.

 

AbdulMohsen Tawoos stressed the importance of protecting human rights in general, and preparing reports that show the serious violations suffered by the people of Yemen since the beginning of the aggression until today.

He pointed out the importance of activating the complementary role between the Council and the ministry, the joint coordination and the work on the human rights issue in a way that serves the human courses of action, clarifies the facts and refutes the allegations.

On the other hand , Deputy Minister of Human Rights pointed out the importance of activating the role of the Ministry of Human Rights to carry out the tasks assigned to it in cooperation and coordination with the Supreme Council.

He also  confirmed  the necessity of deepening cooperation and joint work. He also pointed  out that the ministry’s efforts during the last period seeking to address the various problems and obstacles that hinder the ministry’s work and limit its ability to perform its tasks, especially under the exceptional period of Yemeni man suffering due to the siege and aggression that continued since five years.
