Signing of multi-sector survey forms between the Humanitarian Affairs Council and the OCHA Office.

The Secretary General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, met  on Monday with the director of the United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs, Sebastian Treves , and several members of the International Migration Survey Committee in Sana’a.

The meeting, which was attended by a number of council leaders, discussed the seriousness of humanitarian projects ,chronic plans ,and the  ways of speeding up the implementation of plans related to relief and development aspects, especially under the continuing deterioration of the humanitarian situation due to the Saudi-American aggression and the unjust blockade.

The Secretary General of the Supreme Council stressed the importance of concerted efforts to alleviate the worsening humanitarian situation in Yemen by intensifying humanitarian and relief support for those affected,  working to complete humanitarian projects and activities with desired quality, and overcoming all the challenges that will hinder the progress by  finding  appropriate solutions that serve the common goals of providing assistance and alleviating the human suffering in our country.

He also  pointed out the importance  to activate the aspects of coordination to serve humanitarian work and strengthen the approved mechanisms.

Trevis stressed the keenness to strengthen the frameworks of cooperation with the Authority and provide all support to alleviate the humanitarian need for those affected by the war and worsen the economic situation.

During the meeting, the multi-sector survey forms were signed in a move that will complete all the procedures related to office work and start field implementation in the coming days.
