Al-Hamli inspects the rain-damaged houses in the capital’s secretariat

 

 

The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, inspected today the damaged houses due to heavy rains and torrential rains in the Mazbah area of ​​Amanat Al-Asimah.

Al-Hamli, along with the Undersecretary of the Civil Defense Department, Brigadier General Hussein Aziz, the Deputy Director of OCHA office in Yemen, Andrea Noyce, and a number of representatives of UN and international organizations, were briefed on the conditions of citizens and the damage to their homes and properties as a result of the heavy rains

 

The Secretary-General of SCMCHA, in the presence of  the Director of SCMCHA branch in the Capital Secretariat, Abdullah Al-Nuaimi, listened from the citizens about the damage of their homes that were incurred as a result of heavy rains and the flow of torrents

 

During the visit, Al-Hamli pointed out the importance of the relevant authorities to intervene, and carry out their work, and provide what can be provided to help citizens to mitigate the damage caused to their homes

 

He indicated  that SCMCHA is working hard to provide what it can provide of emergency assistance to alleviate the suffering of citizens and support them, especially in light of the current circumstances in the face of the siege aggression.

 

He called on UN, international and local organizations to quickly provide the necessary shelter and cash assistance to those affected by the effects of the floods through coordination with SCMCHA.

 

He confirmed  the importance of concerted efforts and enhancing the level of coordination with the relevant authorities to treat and repair the damage caused by the floods in the streets, roads and areas of Amant al Asimah , as possible and available in a manner that mitigates damage and protects citizens and their property.
