Hodeidah: Meeting discusses with WFP food assistance mechanism for returnees displaced to the city.

A meeting was held Tuesday at the headquarters of the National Organization for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management in Hodeidah with representatives of the World Food Program (WFP) to establish a mechanism to facilitate the disbursement of aid for displaced people returning to their governorate.

the Director of the National Authority in the branch of Hodeidah, Jaber Al-Razhi, stressed the need to establish a mechanism to facilitate the sharing of data and lists of beneficiaries between the Authority and the food program.

Al-Razhi  stressed the necessity of notifying  the Authority  of any updates to the lists of beneficiaries, or delete them, or change the exchange centers so that the Authority can follow up and facilitate the movement of program staff in the province.

Al-Razhi pointed out that the new mechanism will greatly facilitate the work of the food program in the sharing of data and lists of beneficiaries, which comes within the framework of saving effort and time and accelerate the performance of its humanitarian activity.

He also  stressed  the necessity  of guarantee the transfer of humanitarian aid rations for displaced people wishing to return to their provinces.

He pointed out that it would be a step Encourage all IDPs who prefer to remain in their areas of displacement and continue to receive aid.

The Director of the World Food Program in Hodeidah, Abu Bakr Siddiq thanked the National Authority for providing facilities to the staff of the World Food Program in order to deliver aid to beneficiaries.

He stressed  that the program is eager to meet the needs of the people of the province and those affected by the war as available and possible.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Director of the National Authority for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs Abdullah Al-Ahdal.
