Tawoos inspects the rehabilitation and equipping project of the new building of AlKuwait University Hospital.

The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdulmohsen Tawoos, briefed today on the work progress on the project to rehabilitate AlKuwait University Hospital and rehabilitate the severe malnutrition department.

Tawoos listened to an explanation of its phases and components, stressing the speed of completing the preparation of the building because of its importance, especially after it was delayed more than 23 years ago.

He explained that the project is one of the most important health projects that SCMCHA worked in partnership with UNOPS , especially after being delayed for years.

He confirmed that the project demonstrates persistence and reflects the great and relentless efforts of SCMCHA and the joint coordination between various parties to expand and improve medical services.

He appreciated the support of UNOPS to complete the implementation of the project.

The Secretary-General of SCMCHA indicated that the hospital will be a special addition to health work in Yemen.

In turn, the Director of AlKuwait Hospital, Dr. Amin Al-Junaid, indicated that the new building includes equipping the treatment center for severe malnutrition, intensive care and other departments.

AlJunaid appreciated the efforts of SCMCHA and the support of UNOPS in the rehabilitation of Kuwait University Hospital.

The visit was accompanied by the Program Officer at the UNOPS office, Dr. Khaldoun Mohamed, and the project coordinator, Ali Ibrahim.
