Tawoos urges organizations to fulfill state tax obligations.

The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdulmohsen Tawoos, urged international non-governmental organizations to fulfill the state’s tax obligations.

This came during the tax awareness meeting for international non-governmental organizations, which was organized by the Tax Authority in coordination with SCMCHA under the slogan “Raising the level of legal and procedural awareness of tax legislation.”

Tawoos pointed out the importance of organizations being aware of tax obligations

Tawoos confirmed the importance of the meeting in relation to the work of the Council, which is responsible for coordinating work between organizations, whether international,or local, and all government agencies and beneficiaries of the Yemeni people.

He stressed the keenness on ensuring that the organizations are fully aware of the details of the guide prepared by the authority so that the matter is not ambiguous to the organizations and also in line with international standards and laws “.
He added that the laws of Yemen are compatible with international laws.

Tawoos touched on the facilities provided by SCMCHA to international non-governmental organizations by exempting them from all fees binding on them to the state in order to implement their humanitarian activities.

He confirmed the importance of raising awareness among organizations about tax obligations, in light of the procedural guide that was distributed to them in the previous meeting held in SCMCHA.

He pointed out the importance of allocating a team to follow up on raising awareness of organizations and making efforts in this aspect.
