Tawoos inaugurates the distribution of food baskets to the affected families in Al-Hawk district of Al-Hodeidah governorate.


The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, inaugurated today the distribution of food baskets to families affected by the aggression in the affected areas in Hodeidah.

The Secretary-General of SCMCHA explained that the distribution of food baskets in the village of Al-Masnah in Al-Hawk district through the Yemeni Red Crescent Society in the governorate expressed the directives of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council to alleviate the suffering of citizens as a result of the aggression and siege.

During the distribution, in the presence of Deputy Minister of Electricity and Energy Abdul-Ghani Al-Madani and director of the SCMCHA branch in the governorate, Jaber Al-Razhi, Tawoos confirmed that the SCMCHA will make efforts with humanitarian partners to work on providing and implementing sustainable projects.

Tawoos indicated that the distribution of food baskets in the village of Al-Masnah in the Al-Hawk district is an inauguration for the distribution of 40,000 food and cash baskets to IDPs and affected people in the various affected areas in the governorate.

In turn, the Assistant Provincial Undersecretary, Ali Al-Kabari, indicated the keenness of the governorate leadership to provide facilities and overcome difficulties for humanitarian workers to deliver aid to deserving families in the affected areas as well as to provide necessary services to citizens.

The distribution was attended by the supervisor of the Al-Hawk district , Ahmed Al-Marouni, and a number of representatives of the SCMCHA and the Yemeni Red Crescent Society in Al-Hodeidah.
