Tawoos inaugurates the distribution of 18,000 food baskets in the liberated districts of Marib and Al-Bayda governorates

The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdulmohsen Tawoos, inaugurated the distribution of 18,000 food baskets to displaced and affected families in the liberated districts in Al-Bayda and Marib governorate.

Tawoos , in the presence of the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen, William David Grisley, confirmed that the visit to Al-Abdiya, Musawara, Al-Soma’a and Al-Bayda city in the Ma’rib and Al-Bayda governorates included the distribution of more than 18,000 food baskets to the displaced and affected families. Tawoos also indicated that Al-Soma’a Hospital was provided with specialized staff and medicines.

Tawoos explained that the collapsed living conditions of the citizens caused by the countries of the American-Saudi aggression and mercenaries in the liberated districts in Marib and Al-Bayda as well as collapsed conditions in water, health, education and hygiene sectors

Tawoos pointed out that SCMCHA, along with humanitarian partners, will make all efforts to work on providing and implementing projects in these sectors to alleviate the suffering of citizens.

Tawoos revealed that IDP in the areas of Rahba, Afar, Mahlia and Qania have returned to their homes in Abdiya, confirming the return of 500 displaced families to their homes in Abdiya and providing all the needs of these families.
