A meeting to discuss arrangements for the implementation of the multi-sector survey.

 

The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation Abdul Mohsen Taos today discussed with OCHA Director Sajjad Mohamed and representatives of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) arrangements for the implementation of the multi-sector survey to be implemented in the coming days.

The meeting, in the presence of the head of the Council’s planning department, Mutahar Zeid, and members of the Central and Technical Committee, reviewed preparations for the implementation of the survey to contribute to alleviating the human suffering of the Yemeni people as a result of the aggression and siege.

In the meeting, Peacock stressed the need to start training provincial coordinators who will train researchers in order to speed up the completion of the survey process to determine the actual need and develop humanitarian response plans for the Yemeni people.

For his part, the UN official appreciated the efforts of the Council on Humanitarian Affairs to facilitate and conduct humanitarian action.

During the meeting, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council and the Director of the OCHA Office signed the Multi-Sector Survey Framework MCLA to assess the need for humanitarian assistance.
