meeting to discuss deportation procedures of illegal immigrants.

Today’s meeting in Sana’a, which included the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Manageme and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, and the Director of the United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs Sajid Muhammad, discussed the procedures for registration and deportation of illegal immigrants.

The meeting,in the presence of the Deputy Director of the OCHA Office Kosen Rakosha, Representative of the International Organization for Migration Martin Legas and the head of the International Cooperation Departments of SCMCHA Mana’a al-Asal, and head Planning Mutahar Zaid, touched on the progress of the registration process for illegal immigrants and arrangements for their safe deportation to their countries.

In the meeting, Tawoos stressed the importance of implementing points and steps agreed upon between SCMCHA and the Organization for Migration, starting with the process of registering migrants and providing assistance to them, and ending with their deportation to their countries, in accordance with humanitarian standards and legal rules that preserve the dignity of migrants.

He also affirmed SCMCHA’s keenness to provide all the necessary facilities for the success of the process of deporting migrants.

In turn, the Director of the OCHA office in Yemen appreciated the role of SCMCHA in providing all the necessary facilities to implement the activities of organizations operating in Yemen.

In turn, the representative of the Organization of Migration affirmed keenness to return illegal immigrants to their countries according to the agreed mechanism.

He reiterated the commitment to full coordination for the success of this process.
