A meeting discussed today the mechanisms and criteria for approving sub-agreements and projects submitted by different organizations to meet national needs and serve beneficiaries.

The meeting, in the presence of the head of SCMCHA’st International Cooperation Department Mana’a al-Asal, Director General of projects Imad Hajar and representatives of government agencies benefiting from services and projects, addressed the problems related to the projects submitted in terms of operating expenses and their incompatibility with the mechanisms and standards that should be available to sign agreements and projects.

Al-Asal stressed the keenness of SCMCHA to coordinate with the relevant authorities through which projects are studied in accordance with the necessary national needs that meet the need and alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people as a result of the aggression and siege.

He explained that projects should meet the actual need, indicating that a number of projects that are rejected have approximately 70% as Operating expenses or more in some cases, where benficairies get just a little.

Al-Asal aslo pointed out the importance of developing appropriate proposals and agree on unified standards and mechanisms of work that beneficiaries would get benefit of it and meet the requirements of the actual need.

The meeting came up with a number of recommendations that would establish a joint action plan that would include appropriate mechanisms and standards within the framework of joint coordination between SCMCHA and relevant authorities.
