Workshop about cash assistance for people of common interest.

A workshop on cash assistance for people of common interest organized by the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, International Cooperation and UNHCR was held today in Sana’a.

The workshop,  in the presence of 40 participants of SCMCHA and UNHCR, reviewed an overview of cash assistance projects for beneficiary families, targeting criteria, target people and implementation strategy.

In the workshop, Secretary-General of SCMCHA, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos ,stressed the importance of cash assisstance projects that support IDPs, affected and poor families in light of the humanitarian crisis that the Yemeni people are going through as a result of the aggression and blockade.

Tawoos also indicated that UNCHR’s cash projects were part of joint care and coordination to deliver assistance to its beneficiaries in accordance with the criterion of priority in need.

UNHCR Resident Representative ,John Nicholas, appreciated keenness and interaction of SCMCHA to provide the needs of beneficiaries by urging the speedy implementation of cash projects.

The workshop was attended by head of the SCMCHA’s Coordination Department,Faisal Medheesh.
