Discussion the supporting possibility of UNDP for YCG .

A meeting in Sana’a today, which included The Secretary General of the Supreme Council for The Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, and the head of Yemen Coast Guard, General Ibrahim al-Muayyad, discussed the stages of the project to support the Coast Guard in the Red Sea sector.

The meeting, in the presence of
Head of International Cooperation department, Mana’a Al-Asal, head of UNDP Team Lucy Matheson , Coast Guard Project Manager Mark Aiken, discussed the possibility of supporting the programme in the areas of training, capacity-building, equipment provision and reconstruction.

The meeting confirmed importance of the joint technical committee meeting to determine the needs according to the plan raised as well as the importance of speeding up the implementation of the work according to a specific Chronic plan.Tawoos also stressed the importance of implementing the activities in accordance with the chronic and specific need plan approved by the Joint Technical Committee, in order to ensure the implementation of the activities and the achievement of common objectives.

The meeting was attended by the director of international organizations Turki Jamil and from the Ministry of Interior Yahya Al-Ansari and Moath Al-Charfi.
