Tawoos meets the Resident Representative of UNFPA.

Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, discussed with the president Representative of United Nations population Fund ,Nestor Omohanji , aspects of Cooperation and coordination in the implementation of humanitarian activities .

In the meeting, which was attended by the head of the international cooperation departments, Mana’a al Asel and The head of Single Window Hamza Al-Mukhtar, Tawoos indicated the importance of working in accordance with the mechanisms and standards of need.

He confirmed the importance of continuous coordination with SCMCHA to ensure the progress of the work and contribute effectively to facilitating tasks and access to services for those who deserve them according to the priorities of need.

Tawoos stressed the focus in the process of selecting project implementing partners in accordance with efficiency standards in order to achieve success for humanitarian objectives and processes.

He pointed out the importance of paying attention to different humanitarian aspects and adopting flexible and positive mechanisms in assessing the level of need so that those who have urgent need can be added and replace families who improve their standard of living with others that are most needy according to the priorities set out in the need plan.

The Secretary General of the Council also confirmed the importance of paying attention to young people in addition to other activities and programs, and the council was keen to provide all facilities that would improve the humanitarian situation and alleviate the suffering of Yemenis.

For his part, the representative of the United Nations Fund stressed the keenness to continue the performance of the Fund and its humanitarian tasks in Yemen, to work together and continue coordination with the Council to serve the common objectives.

The meeting was attended by Vice President of the Department of International Cooperation Ali Al-Kahlani and General Manager of Projects Emad Hajar.
