Tawoos meets WFP resident representative.
The Secretary-General of SCMCHA, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, discussed today with WFP Resident Representative Laurent Boukira the progress of WFP’s field activities.
At the meeting, which was attended by the head of the Single-window department Hamza al-Mukhtar, Tawoos pointed out the importance of working in accordance with the mechanisms and standards of need.
He confirmed the importance of continuing coordination with SCMCHA to ensure the functioning of the work , contribute of facilitating tasks and access to assistance to beneficiaries
Tawoos added that the focus should be on selecting partners implementing projects in accordance with frameworks to ensure the success of humanitarian objectives and processes.
The resident representative of WFP confirmed that the programme continues its humanitarian duties in Yemen. Indicating the concern for joint work and continuous coordination with the Council in order to serve the common objectives.
The meeting was in the presence of the Director of International Organizations of the Council Turki Jamil.
