Tawoos discusses with the UNHCR deputy representative the aspects of joint coordination.
The Secretary-General of SCMCHA, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, discussed today with deputy Representative of UNCHR Martin Uther the aspects of Cooperation and coordination between SCMCHA and UNHCR.
At the meeting, which was attended by the heads of the Departments of International Cooperation and Coordination of SCMCHA, Mana’a al-Asal and Faisal Medhesh, Tawoos confirmed the importance of establishing working mechanisms to ensure the effective partnership that would promote humanitarian work, as well as serve beneficiaries and provide services to those affected.
He indicated to the importance of taking care of the displaced and the poorest, whose living conditions have been exacerbated by the ongoing aggression and blockade, according to updated mechanisms and data.
The Secretary-General appreciated UNHCR’S activity and work.
He affirmed that SCMCHA will provide all facilities for the conduct of UNCHR’s work and the performance of its tasks.
The Deputy Representative of UNHCR confirmed UNHCR’s commitment to cooperate with the Council as well as to maintain joint coordination frameworks.
He appreciated the Council’s efforts to provide facilities to humanitarian organizations working in Yemen.
