Discussion of of cooperation and coordination aspects with UNHCR.

The head of the coordination department at SCMCHA ,Faisal Medheesh discussed today with UNHCR Assistant Representative for Protection Elisabetta Brumat the actual cooperation, coordination and partnership with the Office of the Displaced persons and protection projects.

In the meeting, which was attended by the Council’s Director of Displacement Khaled Al-Abali, The Head of the Coordination Department, Faisel, stressed the importance of establishing mechanisms of work to achieve the actual partnership and organize the work to contribute of solving the problems by developing appropriate remedies to continue providing services and meeting the needs of the beneficiaries.

He confirmed thr importance of abiding by the rules of humanitarian work and work in accordance with clear standards and mechanisms and understand the roles, responsibilities and specialties as well as the importance of respecting the customs and traditions of Yemeni society when implementing any activity by UNHCR partners or any other international or local organization to avoid compromising the privacy of Yemeni society and maintain its religious , social principles and values.

He pointed out the importance of ongoing coordination with the SCMCHA and coordination of work through the Joint Technical Committee, which is important in improving the level of work and ensuring that services reach the actual need.

The meeting was attended by Senior Risk And Compliance Management Advisor Maha Sedki, Protection Officer Minako Kakuma, Legal Advisor Haitham Al-Sufi and Assistant Protection Officer Leila Abdul-Rabb.
