Tawoos directs relief assistance to those affected by torrential rains.

 

Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, directed the council’s branches in the provinces to work to provide the necessary relief assistance to those affected by the rains that are taking place in our country these days, give a report after counting the human and material damage.

Tawoos called on international and humanitarian organizations to quickly provide relief materials and shelter the affected families, in coordination with the Supreme Council of the provinces, pointing out that the rescue government is working on its national responsibility to work in coordination with the organizations to provide humanitarian assistance to affected citizens in all provinces.

He also directed the council’s directors of the branches in the provinces to activate coordination with UN and international organizations as well as humanitarian partners to support humanitarian and emergency operations for those affected by the rains, pointing out the importance of concerted official and community efforts to alleviate the damage .

Tawoos offered condolences to the families of the victims, and wished the victims a speedy recovery.
