Tawoos discusses with MSF the mechanism of coordination to confront COVID19.

The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation (SCMCHA) AbdelMohsen Tawoos met today with The head of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Caroline Durcam and The Netherlands’s Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) President Ken Hagwara

The meeting, in the presence of the heads of the international cooperation departments of the Council,Manaa Al Asel, coordination, Faisal Medhesh ,the head of single window Hamza Al-Mukhtar, discussed the mechanism to facilitate the tasks of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) spanish and Dutch and the possibility of supporting the efforts of the health sector by providing medical equipment and supplies and medicines to deal with the Corona epidemic.

The meeting touched on aspects of cooperation and facilitated the work of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and the movement of medical teams to work on their duties in this regard.

In the meeting, the Secretary General of the Council of Humanitarian Affairs confirmed the Council’s keenness to provide the necessary and facilities to the organizations, enabling them to perform their work. He stressed that organizations should feel responsible for the humanitarian situation in Yemen.

The meeting was attended by The Council’s Director of International Organizations Turki Jamil and MSF Consultant Radwan Aqlan.
