Tawoos meets acting director of “OCHA” office in Yemen

The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation met today with the Acting Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Yemen, Cindy Asaq.

In the meeting, which was attended by the Head of the Department of International Cooperation, Manaa Al-Asal, the Secretary-General of the Council discussed a number of topics related to the progress of humanitarian work.

He pointed out  the efforts that the Council exerts to overcome the challenges and obstacles and to develop solutions and remedies for all outstanding matters that facilitates humanitarian action which alleviates the ongoing humanitarian suffering caused by the aggression and the blockade.

He stressed the importance of joint action, effective coordination and taking all the comments that were put forward, as this would facilitate the course of action and achieve the humanitarian goals that shall be achieved.

Cindy Aleg also praised the Council’s efforts in facilitating humanitarian work.

She stressed the importance of joint work and coordination. she also pointed out  that humanitarian action must receive great attention,  positive cooperation and coordination through which the obstacles and problems of action can be overcome in order to achieve success in alleviating the consequences of the humanitarian disaster in Yemen.
