Consultative meeting to discusses coordination and joint cooperation.

A consultative meeting was held today in Sana’a to discuss ways  that support and strengthen infrastructure within the framework of the tripartite cooperation between the Secretariat of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs ,the Central Bureau of Statistics and UNICEF.

The meeting, which was attended by acting head of the planning department Mutahar Zeid and UNICEF training and rehabilitation expert Adineh Olali, reviewed a number of topics for joint  coordination and  cooperation, support and strengthening of infrastructure and aspects related to multi-indicator cluster survey in within Surveys adopted by UNICEF as well as the study of aspects related to the qualification and training of staff in order to achieve advancement in various fields of work.

In the meeting, the acting head of the Planning Department confirmed the positive holding of such meetings with their opinions and proposals that enrich the areas of discussion and enhance the effectiveness of the work and promote it.

He pointed out the importance of making more efforts within the framework of capacity building and training cadres in order to achieve the desired benefit by employing qualified capabilities and expertise to promote humanitarian work and ensure the effective sustainability of various development aspects.

In the meeting, the participants expressed their hope to work on  the discussion in actual  steps that are being used .  It was agreed to prepare plans that would translate the different aspects of the discussion that were reviewed in the meeting.

The meeting was attended by The General Manager of Training at the General Secretariat Mohammed Al-Asmi and the Planning , Coordination Officer of UNICEF Hanan Faza and a  number of representatives of the participating parties.
