President Al-Mashat takes cognizance of the plan of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs.

At today’s meeting, chaired by The Council’s President, Mehdi Al-Mashat, the Supreme Political Council took cognizance  of the Plan of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation.

At the meeting, President Al-Mashat listened to the report of the Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, The head of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Ahmed Hamed, on the need plan for 2020, the performance of international and local organizations and the difficulties that exist.

Hamed reviewed the mechanism of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to its beneficiaries and to reduce the excessive waste of aid.

The Secretary General of the Supreme  Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation AbdulMohsen Tawoos  summarized  a number of reports on the abuses of organizations working on the humanitarian side in Yemen as well as  the remedies that have been made about them. He also  provided  models for the waste of international grants on the side of Operating expenses  which reached  into 90% of the amounts allocated.

In this regard, the Supreme Political Council directed to correct the course of the work of intermediary organizations with donors for the benefit of the targeted citizens who are entitled to such assistance and who also  received  a little.  He also stressed on finding out trouble causes and remedies .

The meeting also urged the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation to periodically inform the political leadership  about its plans and reports to know what is reached in this regard.

He also  stressed the development of the work of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs to contribute of the direction of grants in the right way  that serves the citizens affected by the aggression against Yemen.

The supreme council  appreciated that organizations that adhere to standards, regulations and laws, Stressing the cooperation with it to facilitate its tasks and all those who followed suit.
